In an earlier blog post it was mentioned that a professionally designed email template will increase its effectiveness.  The same goes for your follow-up email template as well.  Your follow-up email template design should be different, but complementary of your main html email template.

Lastly, you can further customise your follow-up html email template designs based on seasonal changes to give your message a fresh look.  Why send a boring text-based email campaign when your competitors are sending custom email message designs with the holidays, summer or whatever the season happens to be?  Remember, your readers are getting lots of emails everyday.  You need to make yours stand out among the rest.
